“All Around”

I saw Jesus this week.  Beth, an Odyssey friend who lost her mother this year, was wrapped in a prayer shawl being loved by fellow followers of Jesus Christ.  I saw Jesus this week.  Went to the city to meet with a woman who is starting a church of diverse people in her diverse community in Queens.  They are almost all homeless.  I saw Jesus this week.  VBS!!!!!!   I saw Jesus this week.  My daughter ran up and gave me a big hug when I came home from work.

We all say we believe that Jesus lives.  We all say that the Holy Spirit is with us at all times.  How many of us live like Jesus is with us constantly?  If we did then we would see Jesus all over the place.  We would see him at church, work, the store, in the family, etc.  Now I believe Jesus is everywhere I just think we need to learn to see him.  Recently I have been opening the services I lead by asking, “Where have you seen Jesus this last week?”  I am amazed how hard people have to think about it.  The amazing thing is when I am consciously looking for Jesus all day I not only see him, but I tend to imitate him more.

So I want to challenge all of you to start looking and then let me know where you have seen Jesus today.

Until Next Week. . .Mark
