“Too Many Good Things!”

This is a week when I want to send out 2 or 3 Pulses. There are so many opportunities to take advantage of.  So, let me just briefly remind you, with a bit of persuasion, of these upcoming events.

This past Sunday you heard Taylor talk about how we sometimes hit a wall in our spiritual and emotional growth. There is no going around the wall, we have to go through it. This Wednesday night Pam Hansen will lead the discussion on moving through the wall. The wall can be anything that prevents us from moving forward. It may be a current or past event, a feeling, a memory, previous conditioning or understanding, etc.

I encourage you to come this Wednesday as we pursue emotionally healthy spirituality. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 7:30-9:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

The annual Northeast Men’s Retreat at Lake Champion is  Oct 2-4. If you have been there, you know how great it is. If not, I encourage you to come. It is not too late to sign up. A nice combination of relaxation with free time in schedule, spiritual encouragement, fun, hanging out with the fellas, etc.  I will attempt to attach a brochure to this email. If it does not work track me down.  FELLAS, this is a great time away. Don’t miss it!

I wish you could have been in the room, at the Consistory meeting, when this idea came up. One of our elders offered the idea. It seems so obvious, right?– Christians should pray. But, as the meeting went on, I think we became more convinced that we should do this prayer vigil. It just seemed so right to bring ourselves before God, seriously, as a community, to seek God’s guidance.  So, I encourage you to sign up for a time slot. Pray by yourself, pray with others- whatever works for you.

Thanks for the opportunity to serve.

In Christ,
