“Get Quiet”

I love the quote from Geri Scazzero, “silence is one of the languages of God.” In the second half of our series on Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, we emphasized the need for Christians to build practices into their lives that help them to connect with God. Two of the practices  we mentioned were silence and solitude.

As a church we have developed a practice which helps us to gather, slow down, have some silence and solitude, and step into a spiritual focus. This is accomplished in our annual Day Away retreat. I have included the information below.

 

 

Day Away Retreat           Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009

Starts with Continental breakfast at 9:00 a.m.  We end at 4:00 p.m.

 

MT. ALVERNIA RETREAT CENTER in Wappingers Falls.

 

Continental Breakfast and LUNCH are PROVIDED @ $25 per person.

PLEASE SIGN UP on a Connection Card so we have an idea of how many people are coming.
