Incarnational Evangelism Launching Point

Every time I talk about “evangelism,” most people get a look in their eyes like I have asked them to walk a tight rope across Niagara Falls.  I am always told they know they need to and they know people who need the grace of Christ, but they need to learn how.  NOW IS YOUR CHANCE!  Following Easter, worship will be focusing on conversions in the New Testament.  As part of this series, we will be offering a 5 week course on Incarnational Evangelism.  Here is my goal (a pastor’s goal):  I would like to see 100% participation.  You read that right, 100% participation.  Not just those gifted with evangelism are called to evangelize.  We have all been called to join Christ in the world proclaiming his love and grace in word and deed.  I believe if every member and friend of HRC takes seriously the call to share Christ’s love with an evangelistic heart numerous times in the coming year, by next Pentecost we can have a story as miraculous as Pentecost’s 3,000 people becoming followers of Christ.  Don’t laugh, just take one risky step and join us for 5 weeks.  Here are the dates and topics:

Wednesdays April 21 – May 19

7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
