Coming Out of the Closet

“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

It’s time for Ridder to come out of the closet!   That is what will happen on Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11.  You may have heard mention of the Ridder process in the past two years and heard rumors of trips to Hunter Mountain by a team from HRC, well, it is time to reveal some of the work that has been done and share some of the learnings that have been acquired.  We are calling this retreat: “Beyond the Buzz.”  I hope you will be there.  You can sign up on your Connection Card this week.

Steve Shenkman, KC Schuster and Colette Varanaouskas were leaders of the REVEAL survey that HRC went through in 2012.  The results of that survey saw a need to go “Deeper and Wider” in Hopewell Junction.  Ridder has become the tool by which we believe we can accomplish this for every follower of Christ at HRC.  Steve, KC and Colette have been joined on the Ridder team by Matt Feehan, Wesley Joseph and me.  This team is excited about the opportunity to bring the vision of Hunter Mountain to Hopewell.

Who should come? Everyone desiring to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and live a 167 life, as well as everyone who wants to share in the vision for the future of HRC.  The retreat will look at the current reality of HRC and work at developing a vision of God’s preferred future for our life together.

I believe this process is a culmination of many pieces of work from the last few years and I am excited about sharing with you in discerning God’s picture for a future with hope.  Please mark your calendars today, sign up on the Connection Card and get ready for a weekend of blessing and enlightenment as Ridder comes out of the closet and on to the streets.

In Christ,

 Taylor
