 The Gift of Pastor Tony

“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

A year and a half ago we were not sure what the plans would be for Odyssey. Mark Mast was leaving for New Paltz and Steve Dambra had become a preaching elder at The Reformed Church of Beacon.  There was fear for the future and challenges for each Sunday.  Steve Dambra and Jan Bushey headed to some local churches to ask for help and from Reach Out Family Center in Hyde Park came a gift from above by the name of Pastor Tony.

Tony Diuglio is a pastor who is ordained with the Elim Bible Fellowship, but he is known as Pastor Tony at Odyssey.  He has stepped into a key role of support at Odyssey as he preaches every other week and is present there each week.   This Sunday Pastor Tony will be preaching at Hopewell.  I wanted to give you the opportunity to get to know him and give him the opportunity to get to know you.  I hope that you will come out after all the Christmas festivities to celebrate the season with carols, preaching, and prayer, and meet an angel who was sent to Odyssey with God’s good plans for a future with hope.

We are blessed with the gift of a great leadership team that is guiding the ministry of Odyssey.  Odyssey is thriving as one of the largest and fastest growing congregations of the RCA in the Hudson Valley.  We were not sure of what the plans were, but we are thankful that God was.

Come tomorrow and celebrate the gift that Odyssey is to the kingdom of God.

Merry Christmas,

Taylor
