Together Again at 7 PM

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1)

It has been a few years since we have had an ecumenical service in Hopewell.  With a new priest at St. Columba, he recommended that we get together for Thanksgiving.  So tonight we will gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing at Hopewell.  I am excited that Lou Federico from the Vineyard Church, Greg Williamson from Valley Christian, Michael McLoughlin from St. Columba and the newest clergy person in our area, Rev. Janice Kotuby from Church of the Resurrection will all be in the front of Hopewell Reformed.  I hope you will be here too.

We are divided in so many ways these days it will be nice to have an evening together.  If you like to sing, Kate Valdivia will be directing voices from all the churches.  This can include you if you come at 6 PM.  If you like to bake or cut up cheese, you can bring a treat to share for a fellowship time that Inis Westgate will coordinate following worship.  And if you like to give, you can bring some food for the Food Bank and some cash for Beds INC.

Father McLoughlin will preach and each of the local clergy will participate.  We agreed to support a ministry of the local church each year. This year it will go to Beds In the Name of Christ.  We have been delivering beds for years in our partnership with Love INC.

I pray that each of you have a joyous Thanksgiving and I invite you to begin the holiday together in faith as we are reminded of all the blessings that come our way.

Gratefully,

Taylor
