New Christian Communities

Hopewell Reformed Church recognizes that there are many people in this world who need the love of Jesus Christ but may not feel comfortable in an established church setting. We have accepted the challenge of creating many spaces in many venues to “meet on the street” those who will not join us on Beekman Road. We look to start, partner with others, and enable existing and new Christian communities to reach out in new ways in Hopewell Junction, Southern Dutchess County and the world.

Common Ground

Common Ground is an Alternative Christian Community  in Beacon, NY providing space for people to ”belong before they believe” (Check the Common Ground website  for current time and location).  Common Ground focuses on building relationships with God, self and others through serving the community, fellowshipping regularly and worshiping and growing together weekly.  We long to meet people where they are and journey with them to where ever God is leading.   Check out Common Ground’s website to learn more.

Odyssey

A Special Journey with Extraordinary People

We started as a church plant ministering to individuals who lived in the Poughquag area. This small group was blessed with parents of people with special needs, teachers of people with special needs, and children with special needs. As this church plant asked who needed love and support in our neighborhood, these community members bravely said, “We do.” We decided we would start a service once a month for people with special needs. This once a month turned into twice a month and we are now meeting every Sunday as we strive to be a church with people with special needs. This has not been the journey w had expected, but one God continues to Bless! Visit the Odyssey website to learn more.

Journey Worship

A Respite from the World!

This Christian community meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings at 7pm. The Hopewell Reformed Church is the venue for this gathering that strives to provide a place for fellowship and rest for the many in Dutchess County who are so busy they have lost the joy of living.  This service was started to bless those who are serving at our Odyssey community and is open to all who need space mid-week a special space to worship and exprience the grace and joy of Jesus Christ. Visit HRC’s website for more information and worship times.
