Why We Serve

As followers of Christ, we are called to respond to God’s love by serving those in need. This can be as simple as sharing a kind word or as complex as repairing a home. Whatever your skills, time availability or resources, there is a place at HRC for you to make a difference, and to connect with people in a meaningful way.

Volunteer Opportunities

Removal of A/C Window Units October 29

On Sunday, October 29, immediately after the 2nd service, we will need the help of a few individuals with strong arms and backs to remove and store ten window A/C units.  These units are presently installed in various rooms on both floors of the main building and will be brought down to the basement for winter storage.  Please consider sharing one hour of service time to help us out.   Sign up on your Connection Card. For more information, contact Nelson Nieves using the form below.

Church Work Day November 11

On Saturday, November 11 at 10:00 AM, we will be looking for volunteers to help out with grounds and outside building maintenance issues.  The Church will be renting a scissor lift unit to clean out gutters of the main building, install electrical heating wires to prevent icicles at the patio entrance, and reface/paint areas in need.  We also look to use ladders to clean the gutters of the youth house and clear the grounds of fallen leaves. Rubber gloves and some tarps will be provided, but we ask that you bring your rakes. Please look at your schedules and prayerfully consider helping us out. Sign up on your Connection Card. For more information, contact Nelson Nieves using the form below.
